The surgeon is happy because the scar/swelling etc is all looking 'beautiful' (hmmm wonder what Mrs Surgeon looks like). It's kind of diagonally under the ankle bone - not where I thought it was, and a bit bigger than I expected.
I'm happy because my new fibreglass cast is much more solid, snug, and comfortable than the plaster. 5 more weeks, then when I return to see the surgeon I have to bring a shoe to wear home.
*And Jenny, I'm going to wear these.

A beautiful scar to help remind how far you have come when you make your return to exercise.
What glass slipper will Cinderella wear home from the Ball???
LOL - Mrs Surgeon! Crack me up.
Yay at the decision to wear your runners home. Classic.
You stole my shoes? LOL
All scars have the potential to be beautiful. In memory moreso than looks.
He could have really freaked you out and said "Your scar is like, totally hot!"
Yay! So cool. Hope hubby is taking good care of you. You haven't mentioned if Noddie has learned to take advantage of your "condition" yet :-)
That pic is priceless! Glad things are looking up!

Ohhh - what colour is the new one????
It would have to be pink, to match the shoes you will wear upon "recovery" ....

It sounds like you're making great progress (physically and otherwise - you sound quite cheerful!) Thanks for asking after me - I've updated my blog!
When you compare injuries with other people, if theirs is bigger you'll be able to say your surgeon found yours attractive.
What are you knitting? I hadn't heard of the slow fat triathlete, but it's now on my reading list. Thanks for the link. :-)
Hi There!
Sending you healing thoughts and prayers from lovely Louisville, KY, USA.
Great Blog!! I will come back and read more soon.

Oh my! You have every sympathy from me. I broke my hand in the middle January, no nothing for 8 weeks. Drove me mad for the first few weeks and then I made it to acceptance!
Good luck on the recovery. I found a healthy combination of red wine, cheese and chocolate really helped!
