Dissed!

Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting

I was riding my new bike, and being unfamilar with the gears, managed to drop the chain at some traffic lights. While I was fixing it a pair of hoons in their doof-doof mobile drew up, wound down their window and laughed at me. My clever repartee (why don't YOU do some exercise you lazy bastards?), elicited the following comment

it's because there's too much weight on the bike!
??!!#$%^&*!!!??

Naturally I answered with some suggestions about anglo-saxon verbs starting with F. My bike is henceforth named Minerva, goddess of wisdom and warriors. 'Cause it's a battle out there.

Good one Honey! I hope you and Minerva have many pleasant and fun filled rides together. May hoons with no brains stay the hell away from your path.

Classic!! Keep up the witty work. I would have thought of something later then wished I had said it, but my witticism would have been rude and degrading and might have got me into more trouble than a dropped chain....

Minerva? Not a girls name? LOL. OK. Translation please. What exactly is a hoon and a doof-doof mobile? All the other stuff I think I got. It's a wonder you didn't leave them with something permanent for their troubles.

Hoon = hooligan
Doof-doof mobile = souped-up car with loud bass music (doof-doof) pumping out
Celeste, I wasn't all that polite (especially after they were out of earshot LOL)!

Why is it always a group of young males with the smartass comments?

They never seem to make them when they are by themselves?!?

I have personally noticed that the ones MOST likely to dis people who are exercising are those that don't do it. Have you ever noticed that? Most people serious about fitness never make fun of others who are doing something to keep themselves fit, no matter the results.
